Ingredients

For 12 small nests

2 small easter eggs + any plain chocolate sweets included (e.g. buttons, Freddo pieces) or 2 large easter eggs

4 wheat biscuits (e.g. Weetabix or own label brand)

Method

Break chocolate egg / chocolate pieces into small chunks and place in a microwavable bowl.

Melt chocolate by heating on high for approx. 2 minutes, stirring well after 1 minute.

Crumble the wheat biscuits into the melted chocolate and mix well until all the crumbs are covered in chocolate.

Using a muffin tray filled with paper cases, divide mixture and push down using the back of a teaspoon to create a nest shape.

Leave to harden for 1-2 hours at room temperature, or chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Fill with 3 small sweets or chocolate balls, or for a healthier option fill with 3 small grapes or blueberries.

The chocolate nests will keep in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
