Feeding Kindness: O’Brien Fine Foods Donations Continue to Bring Reassurance to Those Who Need it Most

“Working with FoodCloud has been an incredibly fulfilling experience for all of our colleagues at O’Brien Fine Foods. Now more than ever, we are proud to be part of a movement that gets food to the tables of those who need it most.”– Tom Fox

The team at O’Brien Fine Foods have been donating to FoodCloud since 2017 with weekly donations of cooked meats. Since coming on board they have donated over six tonnes of food to FoodCloud, that’s the equivalent of 15,000 meals reaching the tables of our charity and community group partners and the individuals they support. As a direct response to FoodCloud’s emergency appeal in March, O’Brien Fine Foods made sure to double their donations in support of those most impacted by the Covid-19 crisis.

Their weekly donations of cooked meats make their way to a wide variety of community groups and charities, who offer a diverse range of support to their clients. From filling the comforting sandwiches served in nursing homes and after school clubs, to the finishing touches on pizzas and omelettes, O’Brien Fine Foods donations continue to grace the tables, and make up a substantial part of the food packs and hampers our network of community group and charity partners use to meet the increased need of the families that they support.

The presence of their products in food packs represent more than just food but offer reassurance and peace of mind to many who struggle to get food.

This week’s HumanKind Hero is Tom Fox, the Production Manager at O’Brien Fine Foods. Tom has been instrumental in ensuring the safe arrival of their weekly donations to our Dublin Hub where they then continue their journey to bring comfort to individuals, families and communities across the city.

We could not do what we do without the amazing support of O’Brien Fine Foods. Their phenomenal donations and additional support enables FoodCloud to continue getting good food to the charities and community groups we support.
