We were honoured to host Minister for Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine Charlie McConalogue and Minister for the Circular Economy at the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications Ossian Smyth, TD at our hubs in December as they launched the National Food Waste Prevention Roadmap.
Food waste generates 8% - 10% of GHG emissions, contributing to an unstable climate and extreme weather. The Roadmap sets out actions that can be taken over the coming three years, which will set Ireland on course to reduce food waste by 50% by 2030.
There is a lot to be done. FoodCloud will do all we can to support the implementation of the key priority actions set out in the roadmap and will continue to work to reduce food waste by 50% by 2030.
