FoodCloud are absolutely thrilled to be featured in a new six-part series highlighting the work and impact of Irish Social Entreprises, produced for RTÉ One in association with Social Entrepreneurs Ireland. The series which airs at 8.30 on RTÉ One from Monday, 16th will follow a number of different social enterprises over the next 6 weeks, working to find new and dynamic ways to tackle some of the biggest challenges we face as a country.
Viewers will meet co-founders Iseult Ward and Aoibheann O’Brien to learn more about the initial idea behind FoodCloud, and how it developed into an enterprise that has to date, redistributed over 75 million meals across the UK and Ireland. They will also follow the food from our Dublin Hub to partner community groups such as Cheeverstown House and Mendicity — Dublin’s oldest charity meeting some of our fantastic team, food partners and volunteers along the way!
Each episode will highlight the ever-changing experience, diversity and complexity of modern life in Ireland and the people who are stepping up with solutions to the challenges facing us. From the health service, to the housing sector, to the classroom, we will meet the people who see things differently as well as the people directly impacted, by both the solution and the problem – people of all ages and backgrounds, in communities all over Ireland.
