FoodCloud, along with a group of other Food banks from across Europe were invited by The European Food Banks Federation (FEBA) to a private audience with the Pope at the Vatican following the FEBA Convention in Rome.

The Pope, who addressed the group of attendees, spoke of the pressing times we face and the importance of the work they do in the sector. Making special note of the importance of reducing waste while doing good, he acknowledged that those who work in food-banks “take what is thrown into the vicious cycle of waste and insert it into the virtuous circle of good use.”
