The Coca-Cola Company, its bottling partner Coca-Cola HBC Ireland and Northern Ireland and The Coca-Cola Foundation are supporting FoodCloud to provide the equivalent of 100,000 meals to communities across the island of Ireland. This is a part of the global Coca-Cola system’s commitment to donate $120million in support of COVID-19 relief efforts around the world.
As FoodCloud maintains services with existing charity networks through surplus donations, they have also stepped up their operations to supply an increasing number of organisations distributing ambient stock in the form of food parcels, under the Irish Government led Community Call initiative. The financial support from The Coca-Cola Foundation will help FoodCloud distribute ambient foods and drinks via its network of over 500 charities and community groups across Ireland.
In addition to the donation through The Coca-Cola Foundation., Coca Cola HBC have donated 13.7 tonnes of stock to FoodCloud and have committed to double their monthly donations of beverages to FoodCloud to meet the demands they’re currently responding too.
